![]() I'd love some beginner tips from you veterans. Will update the post later with more if I remember them.īut, anyway. There are tons of other things that I'm sure I screwed up on and I'm sure I don't know what they mean or what they do, but I can't remember them all here. Similarly, about 100 turns in, I was already in fourth place and just completely mindblown as to how the other players already had so many cities and wonders and seemed to be doing so much better than me. I tried a new game, with Greece as my Civ. I barely had a military, so when Greece declared war on me, St. Meanwhile, I had a huge surplus of gold that I had no idea what to do with. I kept having too few amenities and too little housing. Same with envoys I kept getting some to send to other cities, and never understand how or why. I started randomly getting great persons and I guess I don't really understand how I was getting them or what they were doing to benefit my civ. I had built zero wonders had no population growth such that I couldn't even build much in terms of districts or upgrades. Before I ended up giving up, I had settled three cities - while everyone else had upwards of 6 or 7! I don't even know where I went wrong or how I screwed it up so much. I ended up starting a new single player game (mainly because the game crashed halfway through my tutorial match) but quickly started losing. I ran through the tutorial, but still didn't feel like it really "taught" me much. I'm really struggling with the game though. I know I'm missing out on mods and stuff, but it is what it is). ![]() I just started playing Civ 6 (on Switch, unfortunately.
